Elie Wiesel is known mostly through his writing, mostly his fifty-seven books. He’s been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel committee called him a “messenger to mankind. His writing is the way he shares his messages. But Elie Wiesel writes for another reason, as well.

“I write to understand as much as to be understood.”
