Advice from the Masters: Andrew Sobel

On his web site, Andrew Sobel describes himself as “the leading authority on the strategies and skills required to create consistent revenue growth through lifelong client loyalty and trusted business partnerships.” His books include Power Questions and Clients for Life.

Management Consulting News interviewed Sobel about writing a business book. One question was “Is it as hard as people think?” Here’s his answer.

“There is a substantial learning curve to the process of writing a book, getting a publisher, promoting the book, and leveraging it in your business. The value chain is long and complex, and the process requires enormous concentration and devotion every step of the way. It’s like starting a new business–there’s a lot to learn.”
