Michael McLaughlin’s company is Mindshare Consulting. He works with small to mid-sized professional services businesses to help them do better by their clients and their bank accounts. For a time, he published a newsletter called Management Consulting News.

Michael thinks that writing a book can be good for you and your business. He’s got an unconventional way of looking at the issue, though. It’s outlined in his post, “Should You Write a Book?” That’s where I clipped this piece of wisdom.

“So, the first step to nonfiction authorship doesn’t have much to do with writing. You’ll want to begin by shoring up your audience as you plan to write your book.”
