Neil Gaiman writes fiction in a variety of forms including novels and comic books. He’s won a bunch of awards for his work including Book of the Year in the British National Book Awards. I like what he has to say about getting ideas.

“You get ideas from daydreaming. You get ideas from being bored. You get ideas all the time. The only difference between writers and other people is we notice when we’re doing it.”
