“Leaders are readers.”
Yep, if you want to do that leading thing well, you need to read. One challenge is sorting through all the “leadership” and other business books to find good ones. This post should help. Here are some pointers to reviews of and excepts from recent leadership (in the broadest sense) books.
In this post I point you to reviews of Learning Leadership and The Coaching Habit.
From Kevin Eikenberry: Learning Leadership: The Five Fundamentals of Becoming an Exemplary Leader
“The book follows a logical pattern to help leaders move to higher levels of success. After some foundational ideas (that I have in part just summarized above), it delivers several short chapters to outline each of the five fundamentals:”
From James daSilva: Questions that actually lead to good answers
“Fortunately, there is a book out this year that might be able to help — both those you coach or manage and you. It’s ‘The Coaching Habit: Say Less, Ask More & Change the Way You Lead Forever’ (Box of Crayons Press, February 2016) by Michael Bungay Stanier.”
