Herman Melville is considered one of the greatest of American writers. Many people consider Moby Dick to be the greatest American novel. It’s one of those books I go back to and dip into often. Here’s Herman Melville’s advice on writing a book. It’s good for business authors as well as novelists.

“To produce a mighty book, you must choose a mighty theme. No great and enduring volume can ever be written on the flea, though many there be that have tried it.”
