I wrote about Karin Hurt in 2014 when she was just starting her entrepreneurial journey. She had just published Overcoming an Imperfect Boss. It’s a great example of a short, business boosting book. Now her business is gathering speed and she’s working on another book.
The working title is Winning Well: a Manager’s Guide to Getting Results Without Losing Your Soul to be published in April 2016. This time she’s working with a co-author, David Dye. And this time it’s with a traditional publisher, AMACOM.
I reached out to Karin and asked her for her best advice for someone considering writing a business book. Here’s what she said.
“Pick a topic you are deeply passionate about. You will be spending a lot of time going deeper than you ever imagined.”
