Some people think writing is all about inspiration. Most of the time, it’s not, especially if you’re writing anything with a deadline.
Next time you’ve got to write a blog post or article and the inspiration won’t come, try this. Just start writing. Sounds simple, maybe a little stupid, but it works.
We seem to be wired so the act of writing itself triggers insights and ideas. For me, they start to show up two or three paragraphs into the writing. Then you can pull back and start over with a clear idea of where you’re going.
