Advice from the Masters: Thomas Mann

Thomas Mann was a massively productive German writer. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. A great deal of his writing is about the inner life of a wrmassively productive German writeriter or artist. If you’re struggling with writing well, here’s a observation of Mann’s that should help.

“A writer is someone for whom writing is more difficult than it is for other people.”

If you want to write well, you work at it. If you don’t care, you can dash off memos and blog posts without a care.
